Welcome! I’m John Ayala, an award winning Editor and Post-Production Producer.
Ayala Grocery is my film and video production company. It’s composed of me and a team of trusted colleagues that I have collaborated with over many years. For a complete list of services see below.
As a documentary producer and editor, my work has been broadcast on PBS, and selected and screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Telluride, IFC Center, Havana Film Festival, New York International Latino Film Festival, CineSol Film Festival, Bicycle Film Festival, and Rooftop Films.
Post-Production: Video editing, motion graphics and effects, sound design/mix, color correction, footage/photo research and licensing, recording and directing voice over talent, communicating with project managers or clients, and providing final deliverables for broadcast, web, social media and live screenings.
Production: I work with award winning cinematographers and production teams to produce commercials and videos with an indie film and documentary approach . Quotes available upon request.
Ayala Grocery was my grandfather’s store and has served as a constant beacon, inspiring a series of videos and now growing into this website and my company. I guess it’s my way of taking ownership of the family legacy and of showcasing a good portion of my work, which has the eclecticism of a grocery store at times-but not the randomness. I’m very proud of the projects featured and I feel extremely lucky to have worked with the creative teams and individuals involved.
